Home-Start
Home-Start Southwark is a scheme that provides high quality support for babies and children under the age of 5 in the most deprived areas of Southwark. When they contacted us and asked ABC to support their event we were happy to oblige!
A cold Thursday morning in March saw the Home-Start team welcome dozens of local families to a Sure Start Centre in Southwark to celebrate World Book Day. There was biscuit making, tote bag decorating and outdoor playing alongside the snacks, drinks and treats for local families. It wouldn’t have been a World Book Day event without the books, and ABC brought along 100 books for the children to select and take home with them.
The morning was a brilliant success, and we were only too delighted to offer our nursery books to these families. From the smiling faces we know they’ve gone to a good home!
